Ways To Give

What the Bible Says About Giving

Giving is a vital part of spiritual formation and growth. It is an active expression of our faith, recognizing God as the true provider of all that we have. Giving affirms our confidence in His ability to supply all of our needs. It is an act of gratitude and dependence.
2 Corinthians 9: 7-8: "Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work."

Opportunities to Give

You may give during the response time at the worship services.
You may mail your contribution to John Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Road, Johns Island, SC 29455

Please remember the Johns Island Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund in your financial planning.  The Endowment Fund was established in 1996 for the purposes of supporting the preservation of our historic sanctuary, facilities enhancement, and as an extension of the Church's benevolent program, as well as other areas of Christian concern in perpetuity.  The Endowment Fund is a great way to make a gift which will keep giving for many years to come.  If you have questions about the Endowment Fund, please contact Charlie Larsen via e-mail at kiawahchas@aol.com.

More First Century, Than Twenty-First

Way back in the dark ages - along about 1999 - author, professor and futurist Dr. Leonard Sweet said something that has stayed lodged in my memory ever since: "The Church of the twenty-first is going to have more in common with the Church of the first century, than it will with the Church of the twentieth century."
